Hi, I'm Mitch

I help builders sell custom homes more consistently than referrals, and with more transparency than an agency.

My mission

I empower businesses with straightforward, effective marketing strategies rooted in transparency and creativity. I provide clients with the systems, processes, and connections they need to grow their businesses confidently and sustainably.

My favorite word is why. I’ve spent my career exploring not just how things work, but why they matter. That mindset has shaped my approach to business and life.

My Background

Over the past decade, I’ve built a marketing career focused on strategy, storytelling, and helping businesses turn their ‘why’ into action.

My background in creative industries, starting with a degree in Motion Picture & Television Production, laid the foundation for this work. Along the way, I co-founded a branding and digital marketing agency, Blue Truck What Marketing, where I served as CTO and discovered how data-driven insights bring compelling creative to life.

In recent years, I’ve specialized in helping custom home builders create scalable marketing systems that generate consistent leads.

Most recently, I was the Marketing Director for the Sullivan Family of Companies—Living Stone Design + Build, Atelier Maison & Co., and ID.ology Interiors & Design—where I led omnichannel marketing strategies that contributed to measurable revenue growth and industry accolades (including the NAHB Custom Home Builder of the Year for Living Stone Design + Build).

I developed award-winning campaigns, implemented marketing automation, and built SOPs that boosted enterprise value. We saw 20-30% YOY increases in engaged website visitors and almost doubled leads, all while reducing marketing spend.

My Community

My work extends beyond individual builders—I’m deeply involved in industry organizations that shape the future of home building. I work extensively with the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains, helping drive their marketing efforts and promoting key initiatives like the Disaster Task Force, a program that supports homeowners and builders recovering from Hurricane Helene. I also serve on the NCHBA Communications Committee.
On a national level, I serve on the Public Affairs and Association Communications Committee for the National Association of Home Builders, where I contribute to industry-wide messaging and advocacy efforts.
Beyond home building, I’m committed to fostering professional growth in marketing. I host Marketing Minds, a mastermind group for marketers in Asheville, where we share insights, troubleshoot challenges, and level up our skills together.
